What do you offer?

We offer bespoke floral arrangements weekly for your home or busines. We work with select number of clients - for me it's about quality not quantity!

How does it work?

My services are booked on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis. For the "I Need a Garden" subscription I will meet with you at your home where can chat about scope and your flower style. I will write up a proposal and confirm all details.

Who designs the floral?

Me, just me. Generally, floral designers rely on freelancer floral designers because flowers are a lot of work especially when you're working on events. I prefer to work on a smaller scale which is why I offer flower subscriptions rather than event design.

What's your experience?

I've been designing floral since the tender age of 7. Inspired by my grandmother's pressed flower collages I would forage flowers and greenery and make my own flower pictures. Professionally, I've design floral for the last 15 years. I've styled numerous magazine covers and even had my work featured on a Time's Square billboard.

What is photo stylist?

I always say the photographer takes the picture, and the stylist, makes the picture. I've created small scale sets for products like makeup and jewelry. On the set dressing side, I've dressed interior spaces like kitchens, styled all sorts of chic tabletops, and created outdoor sets like an aspirational movie night for Zrytec. I've also worked for Amazon, Google, PepsiCo, Food Network, Neutrogena, Lands' End, Terrain, Hello Kitty, Rare Beauty, OPI, Airbnb, and Marriot Hotels to name a few. Please visit Kelly Oshiro for more details.

What is floral foam? Do you design with it?

No foam here! Floral foam is a technique where a brick of foam is soaked in water. Flowers are plugged in and the foam is used to hold the shape and design. It's an "easy" way to design floral and it's also terrible for the environment. We use classical techniques that are recyclable and sustainable.

Do you do private events?

Primarily, I only do small events for my existing clients.

Do you do weddings?

No. I like to place every stem in my arrangements and that simply isn't impossible given the scale of a wedding.

What's your favorite flower?

My favorite cut flower is either muscari, hellebore, or clematis. For wild flowers, I adore lupin and California poppies (especially together). Oh yes, and let's not forget about matilija poppies. In the garden, I adore statuesque hollyhock and any garden rose. As you can tell, I like flowers!
